Tom Arno

Tom is a registered U.S. Patent Attorney. With Mallary, he is a founder and co-managing partner of Veros Legal. Over the past twenty-four years his career has been focused on patent prosecution and diligence including utility and design patents, Inter Partes Review, Ex Parte Appeals. He regularly performs infringement analysis both offensive and defensive for a variety of clients as well as due diligence in the context of venture investments and acquisitions. Tom worked at Knobbe Martens for his entire legal career prior to Veros Legal, with the last two years being co-managing partner of their San Diego office with over 100 attorneys, agents, and staff. Tom has worked extensively on patent matters in the fields of analog and digital hardware, software, communication and networking technologies, medical devices, and diagnostics. He has a special interest in areas where electronics, software, chemistry, and biology overlap.

In 2017, Tom was recognized in the San Diego 500, Book of Influential Business Leaders, by the San Diego Business Journal.

Tom’s personal interests include camping, space tourism, and getting to know his new first grandchild.
